Position Title: Chief Commercial Officer
Purpose: The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is an executive-level role, with the holder being responsible for the commercial strategy and the development of an organization. It typically involves activities relating to marketing, sales, product development and customer service to drive business growth and market share.

Job Description:

Establishment
  • To be an integral part and driver of the strategic planning, capex budgeting and forecasting of business requirements and decision making process
  • Build strong relationships with key external stakeholders, Government, suppliers, BON, etc. to ensure correct focus and direction for the bank at operations and technology level.
  • Ensure an effective and efficient operating model is maintained
  • Develop and facilitate planning across the COO environment.
  • Accountable for driving the business model under the COO environment (Ops, IT, Properties, Merchant Services)
  • Serving on various committees including liquidity, EMT, BCF and Ops com • Serve on external committees where applicable
  • Ensure that risk is effectively addressed in all aspects of the business under the COO
  • Ensure that a proper infrastructure (building, systems and staff complement) is maintained and developed for the bank.
  • Accountable for planning and opening of new branches (outlets) in terms of expansion of the business and business plans.
  • Approve and manage staff complements for the COO space

People Management/Leadership
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and peers on EMT to ensure the correct focus
  • Provide clear directions on strategic goals, translating and prioritising them into business and performance measures.
  • Lead, inspire and coach a team of high calibre professionals, creating succession to key roles and enhancing Bank Windhoek management capability.
  • Work with managers in the team to achieve excellent business results through continuous people development and mentoring activities.
  • the development of a high-performing team through embedding formal Performance Development and informally coaching management team on how to conduct the process effectively.
  • Monitor the strict adherence to governance and setting world class standards of professionalism across the functions within COO
  • Determine and analyse training and development needs for managers and ensure they do the same for their teams. Ensure that identified training is budgeted for and executed.
  • Establish and maintain a succession plan for the management team in the area using the formal Talent Management process for identified talent and an information process for remaining roles.
  • With the support from the HR Business Partner, interview and recruit direct reports and provide support to them during the recruitment of their teams on request
  • Ensure that managers create effective workforce plans and recruitment demands plans for their areas.
  • Review requests from managers in the team for headcount changes. Recommend approve or decline of request to the Executive Officer: Human Resources
  • Act as second level escalation of point for all grievances raised in the business unit.
  • Address poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance
  • Improvement process and ensure that continued poor performance is appropriately dealt with. Review Performance Improvement reports to determine effectiveness of interventions.
  • Ensure participation by staff on Climate or staff satisfaction surveys and that action items together with the management team of the business units are finalised and executed.

Position Title: Chief Financial Officer
Purpose: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of the Bank, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk, and governance as well as negotiations, and information technology and systems of the Bank. As a key member of the executive management team of the Bank, the CFO interacts with senior stakeholders and other members of the Bank.

Job Description:

  • Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/ and members of the executive management team
  • Monitor and direct the Treasury function of the bank including but not restricted to maintainance of CRR, SLR and other statutory reserves.
  • Monitor and direct and maximse the profit from Treasury Operations / Trading and maintainance

Position Title: Chief Operating Officer
Purpose: The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for managing all operational and functional departments within the bank. The role is responsible for supporting the growth and development plans of the bank by creating and executing plans to meet the banks stated objectives. This role is responsible for managing all operation and functional aspects of the bank while working with the leadership team to execute on the strategic plan to achieve goals and metrics. Job Description:

  • Enhance the profitability through effective management and negotiation of all operating channels
  • Establish department performance goals that effectively correlate to the long-term goals and objectives; monitor results against plan. Identify and resolve impediments to the achievement of goals
  • In conjunction with the Regional Head, establish and execute the strategic operating plan for the Region
  • Identify the current and future human capital needs required to execute on the established plan. Direct the implementation of the strategy across departments with focus on budget and timelines
  • Through department leaders, establish operational processes and evaluate opportunities for process improvement needed to execute on the established strategic plan
  • Establish and monitor performance reporting systems. Conduct regular meetings with department heads to ensure that priorities are clear and effective coordination of effort is in place to achieve results
  • In conjunction with the Regional Head and in partnership with the Head of Sales to ensure adherence to all established internal processes and procedures and that all aspects of the business are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations governing the Banking industry.

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) is an executive-level role, with the holder being responsible to

  • Manage the overall Risk Management functions addressing Credit, Market, Operational, wholesale, legal and reputation risks. (al other risks that may be identified from time to time)
  • Devise and implement a risk management structure, compliant with central bank regulations, Cooperative department requirements and international best practice.

Job Description:

Credit Risk:
  • Quality of assigned loan portfolio, as measured by % of classified outstanding and hence loan loss provisions, Volume of assigned portfolio.
  • Implementation of appropriate risk reporting to the CGM / CEO, Manco and senior management
  • Early detection of warning signals to ensure timely corrective action, and hence minimize loan losses.
  • Develop, document and review deals, structures, credit products / services and provide business solutions which meets business and customer requirements within credit and operational risk guidelines and policies.
  • Be vigilant about changing credit risk environment / profiles of countries / regions in general and customers / relationships in particular by developing, setting up and ensuring ongoing and periodic monitoring and reviews.
  • Developing and spreading a credit culture throughout the Banks RMs.
  • Provide expertise and solutions to RMs and ARMs in developing deal / transaction structure, and advising on handling problem accounts.
  • Review credit policies and procedures on a periodical basis, and recommend changes where appropriate.
  • CRAR / ICAAP ownership along with periodic stress testing
  • Managing and monitoring regulatory requirements such as Single & Group Borrower norms, Sectoral limits, PSL, Country/Bank limits
  • Developing credit risk model for branch operations and credit rating framework in line with H.O. requirements
  • Working with Business units to arrive at the credit cost and the resultant economic profit and the requirement of economic capital
  • Conduct Risk Management Committee meetings at stipulated periodicity.
  • Monitor various regulatory limits
  • Lead IFRS 9 calculation for impairment of financial instruments
  • Review and comply with the credit policies and procedures
  • Approve credit within delegated lending authorities based on acceptable underwriting standards
  • Make customer calls as and when needed to assess borrowers
  • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and portfolio stress testing and identify weak credits and take necessary action as remedy.

Operational Risk:
  • Primary responsibility to monitor and measure OR and support identification and control of OR for the group.
  • Define policies regarding management responsibilities, control standards and accountabilities that ensure the stability and surety of all transaction processing.
  • Facilitate branch wide risk assessments and monitors priority risks accordingly.
  • Validation and periodic review of RCSA , administer error logs and align the same for computation of Operational risk.

Market Risk:
  • Establish the Market Risk function for the Bank in line with HO & Local Regulatory requirements (including defining the Middle and Back office functions to difference from Market Risk), staff and make the roles operational.
  • Establish market risk measurement systems, in line with HO & Local Regulatory requirements
  • Monitor Market Risk
  • Monitor various limits like AGL, IGL, NOOP, VaR etc.

Liquidity Risk:
  • Monitoring as per RBI guidelines : Basel III Framework on Liquidity Standards – Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Liquidity Risk Monitoring Tools and LCR Disclosure Standards

Purpose:
The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) will be overseeing and managing the operation of Banks network infrastructure, enterprise applications, server infrastructure, storage systems, vendor/ telco, data center/cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity technologies, systems, and applications by reporting to the CEO. / Board IT Committee The desired candidate should have a strong background and hands on Service Now based IT Operations Management (ITOM) with specific focus in banking /fin-tech sector. As a key member of the executive management team of the Bank, the CTO interacts with senior stakeholders and other members of the Bank.

Job Description:

Operations
  • Responsible for monitoring and alerting of IT systems to ensure early detection and correction of problems
  • Ensure proper management, maintenance, provisioning and monitoring of all production environments;
  • Collaborate with the department of Network & Security, Application Administration to manage change initiatives in a structured manner to ensure systems availability, performance and reliability;

DevOps
  • Build and maintain continuous integration, testing, monitoring, deployment using configuration management and other essential DevOps tools
  • Automate deployment of applications, system configurations and security settings
  • Design, build and improve tools and technologies that make up Continuous Integration (CD) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines

Service Management
  • Responsible for ITIL functions of Service Management, Service Mapping, Change Management, Configuration Management, and Problem Management Incident Management, Service Level Management, Capacity Management, Release Management processes.
  • Work with the IT department and business units to develop, enforce , monitor and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with vendors/service provider
  • Oversee timely handover of new services from delivery teams to Operations;

System Reliability and Availability
  • Partners with IT/business units to establish appropriate service level objectives for system reliability and availability and implements technology and processes to achieve SLA objectives.

System Reliability and Availability Backup/Disaster Recovery
  • Leads the development and testing of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity plans and processes.
  • Manage system maintenance / backups and ensure the integrity of service recovery;
Supplier Management
  • Manages relationships with and the performance of supplier/outsourcing partner and to ensure KPIs and SLAs are being achieve
KPI
  • Tracks and communicates the KPIs of owned processes and present operational metrics to CEO / Board committee on a consistent basis;
  • Lead and manage the internal teams to ensure all KPIs, SLAs are met or exceeded.
Software Assets and Budget
  • Manages spending within the area of responsibility to adhere to the budget.
  • Prepare & manage the IT Operations budget;
  • Verify software assets with license contracts, confirm hardware assets with actual inventory, and initiate corrective actions and tract them
  • Managing a detailed inventory of software and hardware assets, and applying the information gathered in making the best decision concerning IT-related asset purchases, storage, handling and redistribution.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in designing/applying operating process expertise in settings such as IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Network Operations Centres, and Data Centre operations.
  • Experience in ITSM operations and policy development

Position Title: Database Administrator
Purpose: The Database Administrator is a professional focused on delivering solutions to improve decision-making, optimize internal business processes, increase operational efficiency, and ultimately, transform data into actionable insights. Core technologies include cloud systems hosted by Microsoft Azure and including Microsoft Synapse, Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Data bricks, Azure DevOps, and Azure Data Factory. As a member of the Technology team, you will focus on code deployments, configuration updates, performance monitoring, security enhancements, troubleshooting, and backup/recovery services for cloud and on-perm database systems and technologies used by Revenge and portfolio company systems. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager – IT Infrastructure, working together to operate, optimize, and resolve errors where necessary. This role requires collaboration and coordination with multiple Data and Technology teams to achieve efficient service delivery, support various complex services and systems with multiple concurrent users. This role must also establish and ensure control, integrity, and accessibility of data.

Position Title: MIS Executive
Purpose: The MIS Executive is an analytical role, with a strong financial services background and who is proficient with Python. The incumbent will utilize their technology skills to help design and implement analytics and management reporting to provide insights into Banks business / Risk / Operations / Treasury and all other functions. Creation of Dashboards and Control environments will be the key function of the role.

  • Automate the generation of .xlsx reports and automated email reports
  • Create dashboards for data visualization to be consumed by the senior leadership team
  • Analyze large data sets using Python or similar tools
  • Support the finance / Operations / Sales team and senior leadership by delivering ad hoc analyses
  • Assist in the design, testing and roll-out of production systems to support the growing business
Technical Qualifications
